Dean Andersen, of Marshfield, passed away on April 1, 2019, just days shy of his 5th birthday.

Dean had a short life but touched so many people in his time. He was quite a character and had a magnetic personality that drew others to him and made them laugh and smile. He was a natural comedian and could brighten someone's day without any effort. He would say the funniest things that you would never expect from a four year old. He was much smarter than his years with an old soul and loved books and school. Dean loved animals, especially his dog Lucy and the therapy dogs that would visit him. He had a second home at Boston Children's Hospital with an extended family of doctors, nurses, child life specialists, supporting staff, and even other patients who loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed by all, especially by his loving parents Peter Andersen and Janet Kalandranis and his twin brother Louis Andersen, his grandparents Thomas and Nancy Andersen, Victoria Radomski and Matthew Kalandranis, great-grandmothers Marion Giordani and Ann Murray, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann's by the Sea Parish Church, 591 Ocean Street, Marshfield.
