Deane Phillip Price died peacefully at home on November 26, 2019. He was born in Weymouth, Massachusetts to Marjorie (Monroe) Price and George Winfield Price on March 17, 1931 where his family operated the J F Price company.

He is survived by his loving wife Yvonne (Peterson) Price, son Christopher and his wife Gigi, Paul and his wife Kim, David and his wife Mary, 5 grandchildren Keith, Kevin, Brian, Matthew and Sarah, and 3 great-grandchildren Matthew Jr, Ryan and Sophia. He also leaves his brother Ernest and wife Priscilla along with nieces and nephews.

Deane served as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps. He retired after 34 years from the Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys Corporation) as a product manager and computer field engineer. In the following years, he worked at Taylor Lumber, Park Avenue Market, Wind River Systems and Dataware Company. Deane became part of another family business, Price Automotive, owned by David and Mary Price. He worked there for 5 years where he and his son David pondered the fate of the world.

Deane has been active for many years in the Masonic organization rising to the District Deputy Grand Master of the Eighteenth Masonic District of the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts. He started his Masonic career as a member of Demolay in the Orphan's Hope Lodge in Weymouth. More recently he has been a member of the Daniel Webster Lodge in Marshfield and Cornerstone Lodge in Duxbury. He loved to volunteer to help those less fortunate than himself.

Visiting hours on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. will conclude with a Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. A private burial will be in the Village Cemetery in Weymouth, where Deane served as a member of the Board of Directors.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Daniel Webster Lodge Angel Fund, by mail to PO Box 767, Marshfield, MA 02050-0767. This fund personifies Deane's wish to help others.
