Griffin, Dennis P. of Duxbury, passed away at home on December 8, 2016 at the age of 79. Dennis is the beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betty" J. (Proctor) Griffin and loving father of Denise Glynn and her husband William of Marshfield, Donna Farley and her husband John of Onset, Lorraine Samoncik and her husband Peter of Kingston, Dennis Griffin and his wife Heather (Martin) of Pembroke, Paul Griffin and his wife Amy (Walkey) of Norwell, and Stacey Mastrangelo and her husband Daniel of Marshfield. Dennis is proud grandfather of Jessica, William, John, Jennifer, Frank, Dennis III, Samantha, Amanda, Martha, Jean, Sean, Christina, Cameren, Olivia, Jacob, the late Nicole, and the late Lilly, and great grandfather of 7. Dear brother of Ellen Kitterick.

Dennis was the youngest of 7 children born to the late Thomas and Anna (Wilkinson) Griffin. He grew up in Roxbury and spent the early years living in Dorchester before moving his family to the South Shore. Dennis was a proud member of Local 25 Teamsters Union before his retirement in 1994. He enjoyed several years of retirement, traveling and attending his grandchildren's sporting events and activities. Dennis will be dearly missed by his extended family and many friends, both human and canine.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. at St. Ann by the Sea Church, 591 Ocean Street, Marshfield. Interment will be in Couch Cemetery.
