Diane M. (Donovan) Cook of Marshfield, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2021. Diane was 88 years old, born to William and Emily Donovan (Scevior) of Boston. She was predeceased by her beloved husband George Cook and her sister Audrey Mahoney. Surviving Diane is her son William Bayers and his wife Dr. Mary Ann Drinkwater of Belmont, her son Steven Bayers of Boston and her daughter Emily Bayers of Marshfield as well as her grandson Alexander Bayers, his wife Kathryn and their three sons, Henry, Elliott and Theo of London England, her grandson Christopher and his wife Emily of Belmont and her grandson Geoffrey of Minneapolis, MN. She will be greatly missed by all her family.

Diane had retired from a long career with the US Postal Service where she served for several years as the Postmaster of the Brant Rock Post Office. She was a kind and caring mother and grandmother, spending many long weekends with her three young grandsons over the years at her Brant Rock home, enjoying the beach and the chance to help behind the counter at the post office. After retirement she worked as a volunteer for several years at the Duxbury Thrift Shop where she found an outlet for her passion for collectibles and forming long term friendships with the other volunteers.

Diane will be laid to rest in the Mayflower Cemetery, 774 Tremont Street in Duxbury, with a Graveside Service on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 12:00 noon.
