Obituary

Diane M. Crowley (Bibbo), passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 84. Loving mother of Michael Crowley of Fort Lauderdale, Mark Crowley, HPD, and his wife Heidi of Weymouth, and Marty Crowley of Orlando. Diane leaves her grandchildren, Megan and Emily Crowley, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Michael A. Crowley and her sister, Virginia LeClair.

So much in the world delighted Diane and would bring a cheerful and warm smile to her face, particularly her family and friends. She would light up at the sight of any dog—and had a special place in her heart for her many golden retrievers over the years.

Born in Boston, Diane raised her family in Waltham and Green Harbor in Marshfield. Her passion for life animated all she undertook: the constant love and care of her family; devotion to the welfare of those committed to her care during her 40-year career in nursing; and her enthusiasm for quilting. You could regularly find her in the kitchen preparing a meal to send to a neighbor in need or at her sewing machine stitching together hundreds of pieces of fabric to create the beautiful artwork of a quilt. She always had a warm smile and gentle words for everyone she encountered. And she went through life performing small acts of selfless kindness to anyone in need.

Diane learned over the course of life’s journey—accompanied by so many wonderful people along the way—how to love deeply, live life joyfully and fully embracing the joy and pain that it brought to forge a stronger spirit, be at peace and inspire those who were part of her life.

The closing lines from her class poem at Nursing School revealed her life ahead:

The future is now dawning; tomorrow shall not cease

Until we end our lifetime in happiness and peace.

The journey continues.

A cremation has been arranged and interment will be private. Donations can be made to Joshua House Golden Retriever Rescue, online at:  https://www.jhgrr-fl.com/
