Diane (Drouet) Pierce, 77, long time resident of Marshfield Hills, passed away peacefully on May 24th surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late Alan D. Pierce, DD leaves four children; Caroline (Pierce) Page and her husband Charles of Kennet Square, PA, Kim Luque of Scituate, MA, and Todd Luque and his wife Meredith of Kingston, MA, Tory (Pierce) Fait and her husband Donny of Marshfield, MA. She leaves fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. DD, a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by so many yet the impact she has left in their hearts will last forever. Born in Bridgeport CT she attended Sweet Briar College in Virginia and later graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. DD had many passions and interests. She served on the Board of Directors for many years at The North River Arts Society, her dedication and commitment to the life long passion of the arts showed in everything she did. DD was a true artist in very aspect of her life. She was also a member of Seaside Gardeners and enjoyed volunteering for many events at local organizations. She enjoyed playing bridge, rug hooking, book club, and spending time with her knitting group. There will be a Memorial Service Celebrating the Life of DD on May 30th at 1pm at North Community Church, 72 Old Main Street, Marshfield Hills, MA The family requests that in lieu of flowers Memorial Gifts in honor of DD be sent to the North River Arts Society, PO Box 307 Marshfield Hills, MA 02051.
