Donald Edward Clapp died in Massachusetts on November 15th, 2014 at age 75. He grew up in Queens, New York and enlisted in the Air Force where he began his career as a successful computer hardware engineer. His favorite pastimes included amateur car racing and sailing. He lived in California, New Mexico, Florida, and New York before setting down in Massachusetts to raise his two children with his wife, Barbara Hermann Clapp, who had predeceased him. He built his 25 foot fiberglass-hulled boat from scratch and sailed it off the coast of Massachusetts for thirty years. He leaves behind his children Adrian and Laura, his sister Lynn Eivers, his brother, Allan, and his granddaughters Abigail and Sierra.
