Donald G. Kelsey of Marshfield, formerly of Braintree, loving husband and father, passed away on November 16, 2023. He was a devoted husband to Rosalie, his late wife of almost sixty years. He is survived by his twin boys Mark Kelsey of Hanover, MA, his wife Catherine, and their two sons Christopher Kelsey and Nicholas Kelsey; and Michael Kelsey of Plymouth, MA, his wife Christine, and their three children Brian Kelsey and wife Olivia, Shannon Kelsey, and Heather Kelsey. Donald is also survived by his brother Philip Kelsey and wife Jean of Bridgewater, MA, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Donald served in the Navy in his early years, and with that knowledge worked his way into the power generation field, eventually obtaining a first-class engineers license and running a large power plant in Boston. Donald was an avid boater, fisherman, scuba diver and weekend mechanic. He loved spending time at the Braintree Yacht Club, maintaining his Trawler and assisting others whenever possible. Times he spent on the water with his dear wife and first mate Rosalie, his family, and friends, were very special to him. Donald was definitely "one with the sea".

Donald and his wife Rosalie loved traveling to their favorite island Bermuda, cruising with friends, and driving around New England, especially the coast of Maine. It was these Maine trips that influenced his twin sons to attend Maine Maritime Academy, obtain the knowledge to follow in their dad's footsteps in the power industry, and find their future wives to start their own legacy.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 21 at 10:00 a.m. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery will be on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.
