Donald "Don or Donnie" Ralph Lash, 72, of Pembroke, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on December 5th, 2024, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. Don was born April 27th, 1952, in Quincy, MA and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1970. He spent his entire career in the construction industry, working for several companies in various roles before starting his own construction company in 2001 along with his business partner and best friend, Gregg Horton.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Andrea (Soracco) Lash; his sons Maxwell Lash of Plymouth, MA and Zachary Lash of Austin, TX; his daughter Ari "Oona" Heynen and her husband Arnie of Quincy, MA; his brother David Lash and his wife Celia of Fernandina Beach, FL; his best friend Gregg Horton and godson Jake Horton of Marshfield, MA; and his furry family members Maxwell and Bonnie.

Donnie had many interests; boating, fishing, collecting guns and surfing the web on his first edition IPad. He also had many loves; food, grilling, good bourbon, smoking ribs, Hawaiian shirts and fine dining with Andrea. His greatest love was for his wife Andrea, his family and his friends. Donnie was most happy when surrounded by loved ones, sharing a meal or conversation. He enjoyed the things that mattered most. Don will always be remembered for his passion for life, his selfless nature and infectious personality –everyone loved Donnie.

Our family extends our warmest thanks to "Sully" and his expert team at MGH for expending every effort, all while showing compassion and love for Donnie through these last few years.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. We ask that in honor of Donnie's memory please wear casual clothes, jeans and a brightly colored shirt or Hawaiian shirt would be great.
