Lunney, Donald J., of Marshfield March 4th at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Maryanne (Murphy). Dear father of Charles D. Lunney. Survived by his nephews Paul Lanoue of Marshfield, and Peter Lanoue of Braintree. Also survived by many cousins in Canada. Donald was born in Somerville. He graduated from St. John's Prep. Donald retired from Shawmut Bank. He was a former police officer in Somerville, and was an EMT for Boston Health and Hospital. Donald was a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Marshfield and Scituate. He was also active in Scouting, acting as a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader, as well as Chaplain for Troop 101 Boy Scouts of America. Funeral will be held Monday March 8, at 9AM. at the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean St. (rte 139) Marshfield Ma. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St Ann by the Sea Church, at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be Sunday March 7, from 2 to 6 PM. Burial will take place at Couch Cemetery, Marshfield at a later date. Contributions in Donald's memory may be made to St. Ann by the Sea Church.
