It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Frugoli on August 1, 2024, months shy of her 80th birthday. Donna was born on October 31, 1944 in Paterson, N.J., to Hamel and Phyllis (Nee Lang) Suhadolc.
Donna met the love of her life and beloved husband, William Frugoli in 1972, recently celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Donna was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support for her family and community. Along with her husband, she was a devout member of Trinity Church of Marshfield Hills.
Donna is best known for her years as proprietor of Bayberry Monograms- monogramming, embroidering and engraving many treasured keepsakes throughout the South Shore. After 35 years, she retired in December to spend time doing the things she loved – spending time with family and friends, baking cookies for Trinity's outreach program, reading with multiple book clubs and practicing yoga.
Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound that is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her in her wide network of community.
In addition to her husband, Donna leaves her daughters Heather Frugoli, Kym Schuler and husband Rob Schuler, Beth Demaine, Julie Frugoli and her husband Harry Kurtz, as well as her beloved grandchildren Connor, Lisa, April, Rachael and David and many lifelong friends.
She is predeceased by her grandson Nathaniel, nephew Craig, sister-in-law Jeanne and her parents, Hamel and Phyllis.
In remembrance, the wake will take place on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Church, 229 Highland Street in Marshfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance organization that supports children and youth experiencing homelessness. Donna felt strongly about this charity and was passionate about educating those around her about homeless youth in our community. Donations can be made payable to "Town of Marshfield/McKinney-Vento" and sent to Robynne Ryan Lambert, c/o Marshfield Public Schools, 76 South River Street, Marshfield, MA 02050.
