Donna May (Davis, Hobson) Owens, of Halifax, died suddenly on September 25, 2017. She was 67 years old. She was the loving wife of Ivan F. Owens, Jr. for 15 years.

Donna grew up in Marshfield. While going to the Marshfield fairgrounds, she met her first husband, Lawrence E. Hobson, Sr. They were married for 27 years until he passed away in February of 1996. They lived mainly in Norwell where they raised their three children, Terry, Tammy, and Larry Jr.

During her life, Donna worked mainly either as a secretary or a personal care aide (CNA). She was the secretary for Calvary Baptist Church in Hanson for over 16 years, where she was a member for over 30 years. She left to help another church for a while then she went to where she was a member before she passed, Plymouth Rock Bible Church, Plymouth.

Six years after the passing of her first husband, Donna met and married her surviving husband, Ivan F. Owens, Jr. They were married for 15 years.

She loved music, especially to sing for her Lord. She was a faithful servant of God.

Donna was the loving mother of Teresa M. Johnson and her husband H. Everett of Kingston, Tamara L. Cotten and her husband Jeffrey of Pulaski, Tennessee, and Lawrence E. Hobson and his wife Julie of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Devoted grandmother of Kristilyn Gallien, Victoria and Ashley Johnson, Erica Weller, David, Nathaniel, and Tabitha Cotten, and Joseph Hobson. Great grandmother to Annabelle and Nevaeh Gallien, and Tanner. Caring sister of Stuart Davis and his wife Rosemary and Diane Roy and her husband Robert. Donna is survived by her loving mother Dorothy M. Davis, age almost 93.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Donna's life will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, Hanson.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Donna may be made to the Plymouth Rock Bible Church at 267 Carver Rd., Plymouth, MA 02360.
