Donna Tracey Plunkett, 47, of Duxbury, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 3, 2016. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany on January 17, 1969 to Edward Tracey and Victoria Gottberg. Donna graduated in 1986 from Onteora High School in Boiceville, NY. Donna earned two bachelor's degrees: a BS in business economics in 1989 from SUNY Oneonta and a BS in Nursing in 1993 from Russell Sage College.
After graduating from college, she held nursing positions at Albany Medical Center, Harvard Vanguard Medical Association, Massachusetts General Hospital and Newton Wellesley Hospital. Since 2010, she worked at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and volunteered at the Duxbury Lion's Share Food Pantry.
Donna lived a life centered around raising her three beautiful children and her beloved husband Kevin. She had a great love for reading, design, music, cooking, theatre, skiing and walking on the beach with her dog, Nala. She looked to pass along her love of culture and nature to everyone she met. "Bella" as she was known to some of her closest friends had a true zest for life. She looked at the world from a unique, humorous perspective which her friends and family loved her for.
Donna is survived by her husband Kevin, three children Kiley (12), Eoin (10) and Keegan (8) and her loving dog, Nala (6). She is also survived by her parents Victoria Gottberg of Round Top, NY and Edward Tracey of Olivebridge , NY and two sisters Georgene Brown and her husband John Brown of Jupiter, FL and Corinne Tracey and her significant other Eli Guillon of Olivebridge, NY and thirteen nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the community of Duxbury for its overwhelming support. A wake will be held on Friday September 9, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Holy Family Parish, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, Mass. A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 10th, also at the Holy Family Parish.
