Doris was born and raised in Dorchester. Her Father, Daniel, was a mounted policeman for the Boston Police Department and her Mom, Helen "Nellie", was a homemaker who was always loving and cooking for her children and grandchildren.

Doris married Pete and lived in Brighton most of her life with her eight children. While caring for her family, she worked at St. Gabriel's Retreat House in Brighton. First she helped cook for the retreatants and later took care of the priests in their retirement home. They all loved her. She never lost her love for Bingo and was the designated driver for all her girlfriends.

We are all so sad to have this beautiful woman leave us. Everyone who
knew Doris loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Memorial Services for Doris on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield.
