Doris Ann (Roberts) Morris, "Dot", of Marshfield, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on July 20, 2024 at the age of 86. Beloved wife if the late Edward J. Morris, she was dear mother of Michael and his wife Diane of Braintree, Maryellen Boudreau and her husband Ed of Marshfield, Patricia Folan and her husband Sean of Dorchester, Paula Delaney and her husband Jim of Braintree; cherished grandmother of Michael and Jillian, Kate and Emily, Sean, Kerianne, and MaryKate, Matthew, Brendon, and Grace; great grandmother of Jack, Lily, and Liam Cushing and Eleanor and Nolan Morris; dear sister of the late James Roberts.
Born in Everett to the late James and Bridgette (Joy) Roberts, Dot spent most of her life in Boston, growing up in Roxbury and later, living in Dorchester, raising her family and working at the Carney Hospital.
Following retirement, Dot and her husband Eddie spent 10 happy years in Florida where they loved to be visited by family and friends. They returned to Massachusetts in 2009 to be surrounded by their children's growing families. Dot enjoyed time spent with family and friends; her hobbies included reading, shopping, and a love for cleaning.
Dot will be missed by all and is now enjoying her heavenly reward with her loving husband Eddie and all the family and friends who had gone before her and were eagerly awaiting her arrival.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and will conclude with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. Burial will be in the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
