Dorothy (DiBenedetto) Aprille (83) of Marshfield, MA passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 27, 1943 in Jamaica Plain to the late Albert and Catherine (Mahoney) DiBenedetto.

Dorothy met the love of her life, Joey, at the age of 12 and they have been together ever since. They married in 1961, raised their three children in Hyde Park, and eventually settled into their forever home in Marshfield. The two also owned a jewelry store together, DJ’s Goldmine in Pembroke, MA.

She was an avid Disney lover who enjoyed spending time there with her family, especially the Marketplace for shopping and watching shows. You would rarely catch her wearing anything other than a Minnie Mouse or Tinkerbell tee (or “rocking the dots” as she would say). She also loved being outside doing yardwork, caring for her three dogs, and dancing.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Aprille of Marshfield, her three children Dorothy (Aprille) Pisano and her husband Lorenzo Pisano of Marshfield, Joseph Aprille Jr. and Pam of Marshfield, Robert Aprille and his wife Kerrie (Hanson) Aprille of Marshfield, and her siblings Albert DiBenedetto and his wife Joan, and Robert DiBenedetto. She is also survived by her grandchildren Bianca, Joey, Tia, Michael, and Courtney, her great granddaughter Mila, and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her infant son Joseph Albert, her great granddaughter Lisa, her sister Catherine DiBenedetto, her sister-in-law Maureen DiBenedetto, and many dogs including the beloved Mickey, Minnie, and Tinkerbell.

Funeral services will be private.
