Dorothy "Dottie" Finch

Dorothy A. Finch of Marshfield died on January 31, 2026 from multiple organ failure. Born in 1945, she is predeceased by her parents Alma and Richard Halliday as well as her sister, Marion Paiva.

Dottie is the mother of Sherrie Morris and her husband Danny of Nashua, NH and Carrie Finch of Plymouth, MA. Dottie is the beloved grandmother of Zachary Kratzsch of Quincy and Dillon Kratzsch of Plymouth. She was very close to her cousins Debra Beauvais of Rehoboth and Pam Harris of Attleboro, and is the aunt of Richard Paiva of Milford, NH, Todd Paiva of NH and Shawn Paiva of Bristol, NH.

Dottie and longtime boyfriend Rodney Baker of Marshfield spent many years on Rod’s boat in Scituate Harbor, having fun times with many friends on “B” Dock at Cole Parkway Marina. Dottie was an enthusiastic Patriots fan and wore her Patriots shirt on every game day. She would call Sherrie every time the Pats scored yelling and cheering. Dottie will be missed by family and friends.

Services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. Visiting hours will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude with a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral procession to Milton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dorothy Finch can be made to the South Shore Hospital, where she was given exceptional care, or to a charity of your choice.
