Douglas Michael Spinola of Weymouth, formally of Scituate, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015 due to an lengthy illness. He grew up in Scituate, and graduated from Scituate High in 1974. Over the years he held administrative jobs and also did masonry work. His favorite times spent was with his children and his grandson Greyson. He was an avid football fan, passing on his love of football to his son Michael. He is survived by his two children, Michael D. Spinola of Marshfield, and Kaileigh M. Spinola of Scituate, his mother, Nancy A. Alves of Scituate, his late father, Manuel Spinola, his brother, Anthony Alves of Scituate, his sister, Monica A. McCall and brother-in-law Jonah McCall both of Scituate, and his late sister, Deborah M. Spinola, one grandson, one nephew, many aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held on April 25, 2015, from 11am to 2pm at the VFW Hall, 655 Main Street, (Route 3A) in Marshfield for all those who wish to attend.
