Obituary

Edith A. (Taccone) Kearney passed away at home with her family on Easter Sunday. Beloved wife of the late Charles A. Kearney, she leaves her daughters Deborah Paredes and her significant other Kevin Sargent of Kingston, Maureen Kearney and her significant other Michael Hoyt of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, Kathleen Keagul and her wife Mary of Chandler, AZ, and Carolyn King and her husband James of Wareham. Daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary (Macconi) Taccone, Edith was the dear sister of Marjorie Usseglio, Virginia Pfeifer, and the late Barbara Lane. She was the cherished grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Edith started her married life with her husband, Charles, in Coronado, CA where he was stationed in the US Navy. After his discharge, they returned back to Massachusetts to be closer to family, settling in Natick. While raising her 4 daughters, Edith was a volunteer for the Natick school system and a Brownie Leader.

In 1978, Edie and Charlie moved to Marshfield, Massachusetts where Edie became a big part of the community through her work as a veterinary technician at the Marshfield Animal Clinic and as a volunteer at the Marshfield Senior Center. Edie and Charlie were lucky to be able to travel the world extensively. Her big smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

A celebration of Edie's life will take place during visiting hours on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield.
