Edward "Ed" P. Reister, 83 of Marshfield, Massachusetts, died peacefully on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2019 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Edward was born on February 15, 1936 in Somerville, Massachusetts.

He is survived by his wife Marjorie; his daughters, Karin Weinstein and Kristen Melvin; his brother, Gerald Reister; his sister Suzanne Muschinsky; his grandchildren, step-children, step-grandchildren and a loving circle of family and friends.
Ed was proud to serve his country as a Master Sergeant in the Air Force and Air National Guard. A gifted story-teller, Ed loved sharing tales of his time in the military and his 30 years as a lineman for the Boston Edison Company (NSTAR). He found his greatest joy in spending time with family and friends, especially traveling with Marjorie to visit loved ones in Sarasota, Florida.
Warm-hearted with a great sense of humor, he was equally fond of a good hug and a good joke.
Ed was a history buff and could talk to anyone about anything from sports to politics to movies. He was always tan and fit, enjoyed listening to music and being outdoors, especially at the beach.
