Edward “Eddie” Morgan Symmonds, born November 30, 1987, passed away after a courageous battle with metastatic melanoma, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and quiet strength that will live on through all who knew him.

Above all else, Eddie was a devoted father. His daughter, Morgan Elizabeth Symmonds, was his entire world- his greatest pride, his purpose, and his joy. He loved making Morgan smile, and everything he did, every fight he fought, was for her.

Eddie is survived by his mother, Leslie Symmonds; his father, Dennis Symmonds and Dennis’ wife, Joanne. He was a cherished brother to Leanne Symmonds and Katie Jacks, and a deeply proud uncle to Sutton and Daxton Jacks, a role he cherished second only to being a father. He shared a special bond with his brother-in-law, Riley Jacks, whom he considered a best friend.

Eddie was incredibly loved by his extended family, including many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will carry his memory forward.

Eddie also built a family of choice, bound by loyalty and unwavering love. His “brother” Sean Harding and close friends Josh Larson, Patrick Stratton, and Bill and Nicole Garnett, were family in every sense of the word. He also held gratitude for Brittany Harding, a cherished friend who became a devoted caregiver. He was deeply thankful to the Harding/Chapin family for loving his dog, Sasha, as their own- a kindness that meant more to him than words could ever express.

Eddie loved music, gaming, and could often be found watching wrestling- passions that brought him comfort and joy. He especially cherished talking Pokémon with Sutton and Daxton, sharing their excitement and making memories he hoped would grow a lasting bond between them and Morgan.

Eddie faced life, and illness, with resilience and quiet courage. A quote he loved from Robin Hood captured his spirit well:

“Rise and rise again, until lambs become lions.”

He lived this truth daily, meeting hardship with determination, grace, and an enduring love for those around him.

Eddie will be remembered for his fierce loyalty, his deep love for family, and the way he made people feel chosen, protected, and valued. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his impact will never fade.
