Eileen M. (Walsh) Smith, age 86 of Humarock, formerly of Roslindale and West Roxbury, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024 surrounded by her children. Beloved wife for 54 years to the late George J. Smith. Loving mother of James Smith of West Roxbury, Stephen and Miriam (Smith) Smith of Medfield, Kevin and Sheila (Dewan) Smith of West Roxbury, Nancy and Mark Nelligan of Humarock, Maureen and Thomas Duff of Dedham, Carol and Robert O'Donnell of Scituate, Sheila and Christopher Serra of Lakewood Ranch, FL. Special Nana to Kerry and Erin Nelligan, Joseph (Nicole), Brian, Patrick, and Alison Smith, Matthew Smith, Margaret, Ellen, Lily, and Edward O'Donnell, and Anna Duff. Sister of James (Kathy) Walsh, Patricia Lyons, the late Dorothy Woodside, Dennis and Edward Walsh.  Sister-in-law to Mary Collins, Anne Walters, the late Kay Iafrate, Barbara Hebert, Peter and Paul Smith.  She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and many great friends.

Eileen was a former volunteer with the Marshfield Food Pantry and Sowing Seeds Clothing Bank of Marshfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Rte 139, Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Christine Parish Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield.  Interment will be at a later date.
