Wilcox, Elinor A. (Smith) "Ellie" 81 of Marshfield, February 9, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Bertram Wilcox. Mother of Susan Camelio of Marshfield, Jeffrey Wilcox and his wife Jamy of Hermiston, Oregon, Mark Wilcox and his wife Kim of Marshfield, JoAnn Canniff and her husband David of Marshfield, Natalie Hubley of Marshfield, Thomas Wilcox of Marshfield and Paul Wilcox of Ripon, California. Ellie had 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was the loving sister of Natalie Nerger of Marshfield and the late Ray Smith and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ellie graduated from Quincy City Nursing School in 1954 and had a 30 year nursing career at various hospitals and nursing homes on the South Shore. She most loved spending time with family and friends at home, on the beach, enjoying a play at the community theater, playing the slots at Foxwoods, and spending the winter months with her sister and friends in Marco Island, FL. Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday, February 14, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a mass at St Christine's Church 1295 Main St Marshfield. Interment will be held at Couch Cemetery Marshfield at a later date. Memorial gifts in Elinor's memory may be made to the St Jude's Hospital 510 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
