Obituary
Elizabeth "Liz" Megan Gorra passed away unexpectedly February 3, 2021 at her home in Boston. Elizabeth was the daughter of Dennis Gorra (Carol) of Vancouver, WA and Deborah Zolot of Florida. The granddaughter of the late Jeanette Benson of Delray Beach, FL and the late Helen Farraye of New York and great granddaughter of the late Frederick and Theresa Hailer of Marshfield and Roslindale.
Elizabeth leaves behind her cherished brother Andrew Gorra of Vancouver, WA, her beloved 1st cousins Anthony Campanelli of Delray Beach, FL, and Wendy Milani (David) and their adult children, Jacqueline, Keel, and Jake (her very best friend and confidant) all of Marshfield, MA. Liz will be dearly missed by her aunts Jody Campanelli (Alphonse), Nancy Collins (Peter), Marilyn Skyba and Susan Basile, 2nd cousin Leslie Walsh (Jack) and their adult children Cara and Austin and great-aunt Theresa Rudnick.
Elizabeth loved living in the City of Boston and took pride in in her professional career as Director of Financial Aid at Wheelock College/Boston University, MIT, Tufts University, and Pine Manor College. Elizabeth attended Norte Dame Academy in Hingham then later graduated high school in Florida. She graduated from University of Tampa where she met life-long friends.
"Liz" had such an upbeat, engaging personality, she had a great listening ear for anyone in need often putting others before herself. She devoted countless hours texting, calling, and visiting her cousin Jake (especially during the restrictions from Covid) and her friend Dorothy Cohen. Elizabeth loved family gathering, shopping, fashion, dining in/out, a good TV series, and movies. Our family has suffered a tremendous loss and look forward to a celebration of Elizabeth's life for immediate family and friends in Marshfield, MA at a later date due to Covid restrictions.
