Ellen May (Farley) Boley, 76, from Wareham, MA passed away on January 5, 2025 at Tobey Hospital, Wareham.  Born August 14th, 1947 in Ipswich, MA, Daughter of the late John Farley and late Pearl Sanford (Farley-Jayko), their eldest child.  Ellen was schooled in Beverly, MA until her father's job took her and her parents and younger brother John to Windham, Maine.  Ellen graduated from Windham High School where she also helped her parents at the family bakery and B&B until her father's job once again moved them all to Norwell, MA.

Ellen met her late ex-husband Roy P. Boley while working for a doctor's office in Quincy.   Married and had her only child Melinda while living in Kingston, MA.   Graduating from college and working in the corporate offices for Stop and Shop and later for Dana Farber in Boston, MA.  She was a member of The First Parish Church in Norwell where she loved to sing in the chorus and took great enjoyment singing in many of the musicals there.   She also sang with the Sweet Adeline's a cappella group in Pembroke, MA and went on to sing for various groups on the South Shore and a few trips to Tanglewood.   She loved her arts and crafts and knitting over the years as well as fishing and sitting by the ocean.

Ellen is survived by her daughter Melinda Boley and partner Christine Carner formerly of MA, her brother John Farley PhD and wife Martha of NC; two nephews Andrew Farley of NC and Zachary Farley of CT; her partner William Roy of Wareham, MA along with his daughter Maggie and granddaughter Emma.   Ellen is also survived by her step siblings, step niece and nephews and their children as well as many close friends.

Ellen's family welcomes close friends and loved ones to join them at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St, Marshfield, MA to celebrate her life on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. for the Wake Services and 1:00 p.m. for Graveside Services in The Greenlawn Cemetery, 57 Orne St, Salem, MA.  All are welcome.
