Ellen Mary (Micarelli) Buechel, 61, of Duxbury passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at Brigham & Women's Hospital after a lengthy illness.  Ellen is survived by her husband Dr. James A. Buechel, DMD of Duxbury and her daughter Elisa Gangemi of Boston.  She is also stepmother to Jennifer Buechel of Boston, James Buechel of Salem, NH, John Buechel of Boston, and Sarah Buechel of Boston.  In addition, she leaves three brothers, Michael and his wife Brenda of Dedham, Mark and his partner Supon Srivilai of Seattle, WA, Stephen of Wells, ME, and two sisters, Janet Phelan and her husband Kevin of Weymouth, and Joan Fournier and her husband Richard of Norton.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Born in Brighton to the late George and Mary (Lydon) Micarelli, Ellen was raised in Hyde Park and attended Fontbonne Academy in Milton. She was beautiful inside and out; an avid gardener who loved walking, spending time outdoors and decorating her home. When not working at her job as the Office Manager for her husband's practice, Ellen loved most of all spending time with friends and family. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Parish Church, 601 Tremont Street in Duxbury, followed by Interment in the Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
