Ellen Keohane, 68, of Hyannis formerly of Marshfield, passed away after a lengthy illness. Ellen was a 1972 graduate of Marshfield High School and a longtime employee of New England Telephone and Telegraph. She was preceded in death by her father, Edmund Sr. (1976), her mother B. Josephine (2006) and her brother Edmund Jr (2015) and her aunts and uncles. She is survived by her sister-in-law Adele Keohane, her nieces Jaclyn Keohane Cucchiara and husband Anthony Cucchiara, Cynthia Keohane and her fiancé Steve McKay, Julie Keohane and her great-niece Izabell Rose, her great-nephews Myles Owen and Gavin Oliver, her longtime friend Joseph Serlingia, her Uncle Tom and Aunt Barbara Joyce and many cousins.

Ellen was a member of The American Legion Auxiliary, 8 and 40, The Order of the Eastern Star, and the Grange. She loved her day trips to Foxwoods or Mohegan sun and loved to play bingo. Most important she loved her family. She loved to spend the holidays or a special occasion with the ones she loved. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Ellen will then be laid to rest in the Blue Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Ellen's wish is for donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of her great-niece Izabell's Journey to end Alzheimer's.
