Emma, the youngest of 13 siblings left Germany to become the youngest war bride in America.  She met Paul, the love of her life, while singing in a club in Germany.

After her arrival on November 20, 1947, she proudly got her US citizenship.  She became fluent in more than one language, including English. Emma was also an accomplished musician playing the zither.  She continued to sing at German clubs in the Boston area until raising her family.

Her proudest accomplishment was her family.  They had 8 children and always filled their home with love.  All were welcome in her home. She was an amazing cook and demonstrated her love for others through her cooking. She often shared her love of music by playing the zither with her family.

Emma loved people, animals, nature, and had a special appreciation for beautiful scenery.  She befriended people everywhere she went, the bank, supermarket, coffee shop, traveling, etc.  Emma will surely be missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Emma's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
