Ernest W. Thibeault, of Duxbury, passed away on August 18, 2017 following a brief illness, at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Susan F. (Williams) Thibeault; loving father of Heather Tucker and her husband Bob of Marshfield, Dennis Thibeault and his wife Cassandra of Marshfield, and Kim Buiel and her husband Joe of Duxbury; grandfather of Olivia Tucker, J.D. and James Buiel, Alexa and Logan Thibeault; brother of Elaine Boule and her husband David of Connecticut and Eilene Peck and her husband Russ of Rhode Island. He is the son of the late Edward and Marie (Benoit) Thibeault, and is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ernie spent 40 years working for National Grid, where he was proud to be a lineman. He was married to his true love and soul mate Susan for 45 years.  During this time they enjoyed the ocean life of beach and boating.  He loved having his family out fishing and swimming on Bumpa's Boat .  Duxbury Harbor was one of his most favorite places. Through the years Ernie has touched many lives.  Ernie did everything for everybody, no excuses, no questions asked. It did not matter if it was family, friend or stranger.  He gave it his all.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, 410 Washington Street, Duxbury. Burial will be in Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury.
