Rogers, Estelle (Shernock) died suddenly in Marshfield, MA on September 30, 2013. Born April 9, 1927 in the Bronx, NYC, she was the daughter of George and Molly Shernock. An active and vivacious person, she was a captain of her high school cheerleading team. She later worked as a buyer in the fashion industry before meeting and marrying Harvey Rogers (deceased), her husband of 52 years. She was the loving mother of Elizabeth (Betsy) Marrington of Farmington, CT and Dr. Michael Rogers of Pembroke, MA. She is also survived by Larry Marrington of Farmington, CT, and her grandchildren, Melly Marrington of Providence, RI, Matthew Marrington of W. VA and Samantha Rogers, currently in Melbourne, Australia. She also leaves her brother Irving Shernock, his wife Sally Shernock and her beloved nieces Ellen Weiselberg and Marsha Sirdofsky. She is also survived by many well-loved cousins. Burial is at the Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, NJ on Thursday, 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation to your local library would be appreciated.
