Mrs. Estelle Marie "Sue" (Frisone) Theran, daughter of the late Lawrence Frisone and Nancy Barbaro was born in Medford, Massachusetts. She attended St. Joseph's grade school in Medford MA, St. Charles High School in Woburn MA and received her Special Needs Certification at Stonehill College in Stoughton MA. At an early age she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and throughout the years she was a dedicated parishioner of St. Ann's by the Sea in Marshfield, MA. Through her degree in social work, she was able to share the warmth of her love with many special needs children whom she welcomed into her home as foster children throughout the years. Through the kindness and openness of her heart she contributed her time at group homes to assist special needs adults as well.

She married the love of her life, Edward Bartholomew Theran Jr., on January 22, 1955. This union was blessed with six wonderful children. Edward B. Theran Jr. preceded her in death on February 2, 1965. After the death of her husband she adopted three very special foster children Luke, Tina, and Nicole who were welcomed into her home, family and heart.

As a result of Mrs. Theran's generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. Her blessed life was as beautiful as the roses that she cultivated and loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She departed this life after 80 fulfilling years, surrounded by the love of her family, Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Louise Stier, Nancy Lupone and brother-in-law, Joseph Pelletier.

Her memory will forever be cherished and the light of her love will continue on in the lives of her children: Ruthanne Mueller and her husband James of Marston Mills MA, Edward B. Theran III of Kansas City MO, Diane M. Miner of Sarasotta FL, Patrick A. Theran of Marshfield MA, Maria T. Asvestas and her husband Clark of Carver MA, Timothy P. Theran and his wife Sandie of Middleboro MA, Luke Theran of Marshfield MA, Tina Theran of Marshfield MA, and Nicole Theran of Ft. Myer's FL; nineteen grandchildren as well as, nineteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor (Ellie) Pelletier of Ithaca NY and Mari Jane MacPhail of CA, brother, David Frisone of Laguna Woods CA; sister-in-law, Jeanne Frisone of Laguna Woods CA.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann by the Sea Church, 591 Ocean Street, Marshfield. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Scituate.
