Florence M. (Ahern) Fahey of Marshfield passed away in the early morning hours of January 15, 2025 at the age of 89. She was the loving mother of Mary Scott and her husband Steve of Marshfield, William Fahey and his wife Heather of North Andover, Lisa Corrick of Marshfield, and David Fahey and his wife Linda of Marshfield; cherished grandmother of Jefferey (Jess), Emily (Chris), Andrew (Abby), Summer, Colton, Nevada, and Solana and great-grandmother of Grayson, Scarlett, Kennedy, and Lincoln. Predeceased by her two brothers, Daniel Ahern and his wife Shirley and Robert Ahern and his wife Rosemary, Florence leaves her beloved sister, Dorothy Snyder and her late husband Nelson, and many treasured nieces, nephews and their children. Florence was also predeceased by her sister in-law Bonnie and her husband Dick Herb; her sister in-law Susan Burns, and brother in-law Peter Fahey.
Florence (Flo) was a woman of integrity, quiet grace and unwavering faith that was a source of inspiration to her family and friends. She left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. As a devoted mother, she was a constant source of support and wisdom. Her home was a place of warmth, kindness and unconditional love, where everyone felt welcomed and cherished. She was a consummate storyteller and had great joy in telling her stories, but she also knew when she just needed to keep company with family, friends and those in need. Her passion for her family was matched only by her ability to create lasting memories. Whether it was through her nurturing spirit, her infectious laughter, or the way she made everyone feel so special, she touched the lives of everyone around her.
Since retiring from Mohawk Rubber Sales, she was an active member of the Red Hat Society - often performing at nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She volunteered at the Senior Center, working in their kitchen, providing Meals on Wheels, always seeking to make someone's day better.
Flo had an unyielding love for life, which was beautifully expressed through her passion for dancing and singing. She believed that music and movement could unite people, and her unique ability to bring family and friends together created countless cherished memories. If you knew our Mom, you would know her door was always open and visits would include favorite treats, kind words, and dancing any troubles away. You would leave with a sense of hope and better days to come.
