Obituary
Florence (Landry) Lisherness, 90, a long-time resident of Marshfield passed away on February 14, 2023 after a period of declining health.
She was the loving mother of Judy and her husband John Griffin of Marshfield, Jane and Steven Shannon of Scituate, Clare and James Larson of Marshfield, and grandmother of Julie and Anne Marie Larson.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Barbara Hoelbl and Jeanette Hill, and by her dear companion of many years, Thomas W. Fitzgerald.
She graduated from Presentation Academy in Newton, later obtaining her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Bridgewater State College. She worked at the Boston College Library, the Duxbury Free Library, and GTE Laboratories in Waltham until her retirement.
Florence was an accomplished amateur photographer, an excellent seamstress, and she loved gardening and reading.
Funeral arrangements are private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations to the Norwell Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice in Florence's memory, by mail to 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell MA 02061 or online at
