Frances M. Flaherty (Cardia) of Lynn, formerly of Marshfield MA and Deltona, FL., passed away in the comfort of her home on July 27, 2017, surrounded by family, friends, and her dogs, Zuri and Sam, by her side.  Frances will join her late husband Walter J. Flaherty and her seven brothers and sisters in eternal love. She leaves behind her daughters Frances Flaherty and her adopted grandson Alex Lindquist of Swampscott; Jayne Flaherty Tynan, her husband Richard Tynan, and grandson Davin Luu Tynan of Alexandria, Virginia. Fran was an endearing aunt to many nieces and nephews who will forever remember her spirit, warmth, and love.  Her niece Mary Ann Cardia MacNeil in particular who helped care for her throughout her final years and her much loved caregivers Alina, Candy, Laurie, Lisa, and Trisha.

Fran was a great storyteller, sharing memories of her days as a bridal consultant for Bonwit Teller of Boston, and as the host of her Bed and Breakfast at 60 Longwood Ave, then of course her most important and rewarding job of all, motherhood and being an auntie. Fran will be sorely missed by all; may she Rest in Peace.

Please join the family for a Celebration of Life on Friday August 4, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St John the Evangelist Church, 174 Humphrey Street, Swampscott, MA.  Burial will be private.
