Frances M. (Hayden, Hersey) Manson of Marshfield passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025 with her husband Bob and family by her side after a 4-year battle with dementia.

Frances was one of three children, with brothers Dale and Richard, born to the late George Hayden and Marion Hayden Miller. She graduated from Braintree High School in 1959 and married Irving Hersey. They were married for 27 years, settled in Quincy and raised 4 children. Frances is survived by her children, Cynthia Alter and her husband Jim, Cheryl McNeil and her husband Robert, Ronald Hersey and his long-time girlfriend Jaime, and Ryan Hersey and his wife Kathie.

Frances was a proud Irish Catholic who loved spending time with family. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling and dancing, and was an animal lover and a huge Elvis fan. She also volunteered her time to St. Christine's Church and to the Carolina House Women's Shelter.

Frances enjoyed a 30+ year long career in the insurance industry, then had 20 wonderful years spent with Bob in retirement. They traveled extensively, spent many hours with their shared friends, and enjoyed wintering in their Naples, Florida home. Their happiest times were with the growing extended families, celebrating the moments of life with pride and joy.
