Frances M. Murphy, of Duxbury, passed away on September 11, 2017 at the age of 99. Beloved daughter of the late Peter and Nora (Coffey) Murphy, Fran leaves her nephew Peter McNeil and his wife Leslie of Pembroke; Great-nieces and nephews Catherine & Kenneth Calvin; Christian & Karen Barclay; Erin & Michael Joseph; and her special friend Jacqueline Keane. She is predeceased by her siblings Catherine V. McNeil and Edward L. Murphy, and a niece, Nonie Barclay of Duxbury.

Frances was born in Watertown and graduated from the Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Newton, then attended Emmanuel College and received her Master's Degree from Boston University. Fran worked as an Educator in the Boston Public School system for 33 years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury. Burial will be in the Holy Hood Cemetery, Brookline.
