Loving grandfather of Nicholas, Kyle, and Kalli Fontana and Devon and Tristan Smith. Brother of Richard Smith and his wife Bettina of Murrells Inlet, SC, and the late Mary Frances Kozul. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Francis was born in Boston and graduated from St. Columbkille's in Brighton. He was retired from the Gillette Co. Francis was an avid sports fan. He played football and baseball in high school. Funeral service at the MacDonald Funeral Home, l755 Ocean St., rte. l39, Marshfield on Monday, December 6 at l0 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday 2 to 6 p.m. Interment in the Couch Cemetery, Marshfield.
