Myers, Frank G. of Marshfield, passed away on October 29 at the age of 73. Loving father of Denise Noland and her husband John III of Kingston, Michael Myers and his wife Bonnie of Marshfield and Matthew Myers and his wife Michelle of Marshfield. Loving grandfather of Derik, Andrea and Mia. Dear brother of the late Robert Myers. Son of the late Robert and Anna (Goodolf) Myers. Frank was born in Abington, PA. He served in the US Army and was stationed at Fort Eustis, Virginia. Next to his family, Frank's passion was to the labor movement. After receiving 64 rejection letters from various unions, Frank's first job was in 1963 as a union organizer for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. For the next 30 years, he worked his way through the ranks until his final position as the New England Regional Director for the AFL-CIO. Frank carried out many roles in the labor movement. He was both student and teacher, historian and visionary, loyal staff member and caring Director. For those who knew Frank well, what they will cherish most were qualities that simply cannot disappear with his passing: his friendship and his humanity. Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Sunday, November 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the First Congregational Church, 1981 Ocean St. in Marshfield on Monday, November 3 at 10:00 a.m. followed by an interment in Couch Cemetery.
