Hubbard, Frederick G. of Marshfield died peacefully the morning of September 27, 2015 at the age of 83. He was the beloved son of the late Glenn and Evelyn Hubbard.

Born in Plymouth, MA on May 19, 1932, he was the devoted husband of the late Judith M. (Staples) Hubbard for 53 years. Loving father of Jeffrey Hubbard and his wife Leslie, James Hubbard and Jay Hubbard and his wife Carolyn. Loving grandfather of Bradley, Timothy and his wife Stephanie, Allison, Ashley, Casey, Jocelyn, Joel and Zachary. Great grandfather of Timothy. Brother of the late Lois Chandler, Barbara Hubbard, Helen Simmons, and John Hubbard. Dear friend and companion of Miriam Wickham. Also survived by daughter-in-law Karen Hubbard and many nieces and nephews.

Fred, a lifelong resident of Marshfield, graduated from North Adams State Teachers College and earned his Master's degree from Boston University. He proudly served as a teacher and administrator in the Marshfield Public Schools for over 30 years. He was an avid reader, tennis player, and gardener. Fred was a fitness enthusiast and always enjoyed being active. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean conflict.

Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield, on Sunday, October 4 from 1- 5 pm. A funeral service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 1981 Ocean Street, Marshfield on Monday at 11 am.
