Obituary

Frederick D. Krafton of Marshfield passed away suddenly on February 13, 2021 at the age of 72.

Frederick grew up in Brockton as a loving son to the late Frederick and Dorothy Krafton and beloved brother to Debra Kelcourse and her husband Scott Kelcourse. Frederick graduated from Brockton High School in 1966 and received an Associate's Degree 2 years later from Massasoit Community College. After serving in the National Guard for 6 years, Frederick worked at the Registry of Motor Vehicles for a time and then began a career as a Sergeant at Bridgewater Correctional Facility, from which he retired in 2007.

Frederick met the love of his life, the late Christine Krafton, when they were in high school, and they cherished each other for 47 years of marriage and 53 years together; most of which was spent at their home in Marshfield. They enjoyed doing many activities together such as scuba diving, Spanish lessons, wood carving, traveling locally, attending mass at St. Christine's Parish and more.

Frederick leaves behind his adoring daughter Christina Murray, her husband Christopher Murray, son Justin Krafton, daughter-in-law Sharon, 5 cherished grandchildren Christian, Prudence, Isla, Jordan, and Jude as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Frederick will be missed by all who were blessed to know him. He will be celebrated with his recently deceased wife with a graveside service at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday February 23rd in the Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Friends and family are welcome.
