Gail (Hughes) Bunten, a long-time resident of Hingham and most recently Marshfield, passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2017 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Bruce Bunten, Gail leaves her children Gain Bunten and his wife Stephanie of Virginia, John Bunten and his wife Zenie of Wyoming, Andrew Bunten and his wife Wendy of Marshfield, and Elizabeth O'Connell and her husband Shawn of New Jersey; grandchildren Jared, Alix, Samantha, Gain, and Schyler, and great-grandchild Shaylyn. Gail is predeceased by her parents, the late Stanley Hughes and Gladys (Beverstock) and her sister, the late Betty Odell.

Among her many avocations, Gail was actively involved in memorializing the region's history as a member of the Doric Dames by conducting tours for the public of the Massachusetts State House in Boston and the USS Constitution in Charlestown. Her zest for life was infectious and will continue to be enthusiastically shared by her family and friends.

Funeral services are private.
