Garrett R. Smart of Marshfield died suddenly on April 5, 2024 at the age of 31. Garrett was the beloved son of Elaine Muscato of Marshfield and his adoptive parents, the late Thomas and Marilyn (Hannigan) Smart; cherished grandson of Kathy (Hannigan) and the late Anthony Muscato; dear nephew of Greg and Kristan Combs Muscato of Marshfield; devoted cousin of Vincent "Vinnie", Zoe, and Harleigh Muscato. Garrett also leaves his companions Dakota, Opi, Charlie, his canine cousin Ayce, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Garrett was raised in Watertown where he was active in Little League and attended Minuteman Vocational Technical High School. At age 18 he moved to Marshfield to live with his grandmother Kathy and attended Lincoln Tech to study metal fabrication and welding.

Garrett enjoyed playing baseball and football, snowmobiling, golfing, and tailgating at Patriots games with his uncle Greg, and also enjoyed fishing and lobstering with his uncle Greg. He practiced Muay Thai for many years. Garrett will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
