Obituary

George L. Kilnapp, Sr., of Marshfield, passed away on January 11, 2019 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham at the age of 87 after a long illness. Beloved husband of Louise (Puopolo) Kilnapp; brother of Carole Mahoney and her husband, Kevin of Braintree, Pam (Kilnapp) Guy and her husband Paul of Kentucky, Lois Kilnapp of New Hampshire and Edward Kilnapp of Dorchester; dear father of David and his wife Barbara of Pembroke, John and his wife Rose of Ohio, Jeffrey and his fiance, Michelle, of Florida, and the late George Jr. (of Norwood) and Andrew Kilnapp (of Randolph). George also leaves 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late George D. and Merry (Wentrice) Kilnapp.

George was a devoted Christian and a long-time member of Fort Square Presbyterian Church in Quincy where he and his wife, Louise were married in 1950. He taught Sunday School there for fifty years.

George had a distinguished career as a banker having worked at Bank of Boston for 42 years where he retired as Vice President and manager of the factoring division.

George was an avid golfer for most of his life.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at eleven am at the Fort Square Presbyterian Church, 16 Pleasant Street, Quincy MA.
