George E. Maloof of Marshfield formerly of Braintree and Falmouth passed away on July 29, 2015 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of 31 years to Nancy M. (Olsen) Maloof. A devoted and proud father to Paula M. Maloof of Braintree.

George grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Boston English High School. He was the first in his family to attend college and went on to graduate from Northeastern University. He served as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

George began his over 40 year career with New England Wholesale Drug while attending Suffolk University at night, earning his Master's Degree in Business. Little did he know that when he started as a stock boy in the warehouse that he would rise through the ranks to become President of the company.

After retiring, George and Nancy moved from Hanson to Falmouth. They spent time with friends enjoying sunny days on Old Silver Beach. Evenings were highlighted with dinner out and ballroom dancing. They escaped many cold New England winters to join friends in Naples, Florida.

George was a loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He looked forward to visits with Paula where they enjoyed listening to the games.

George was predeceased by his parents George and Mary (Jabour) Maloof and seven older brothers and sisters. He was the caring brother-in-law to Janet B. Maloof who died in June. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating George's life will be held on August 19, 2015 at 11:00am at the First Congregational Church of Hanover, 547 Hanover Street.
