Jerry earned his captain's license and worked on many tugboats and eventually owned a towing service covering the coast for mariners. He spent countless hours on the water for both business and pleasure. During the off season for many years Jane & Jerry enjoyed touring the Virgin Islands on a Grand Banks trawler named "Grand Life" captained by Jerry.
