Gerardine "Gerri" (Reilly) Piatelli of Marshfield, originally of Allston, passed away peacefully on February 9th surrounded by her loving husband and children after a courageous seven year battle with ovarian cancer. Gerri was 63 years old. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. To know her was to love her. Gerri leaves behind her husband of 35 years, Thomas, originally of Roslindale, her son Michael and his wife Courtney, her daughter Shannon Baillargeon and her husband Steven, her daughter Marissa and Gerri's beloved friend Shawn Miller, all of Marshfield. Gerri was the cherished grandmother of Andria and Olivia Piatelli, and a treasured friend to countless others who Gerri considered her family. Gerri was the daughter of Gerardine Reilly and the late Francis Reilly of Marshfield.

Gerri left a lasting legacy through her volunteer activities and work. She made a difference in the lives of many women suffering from postpartum depression through her work with Depression After Delivery, and worked tirelessly as a member of the Marshfield Skatepark Committee to better her community. Gerri was also an active member of her Catholic Church community, serving as both a religious education teacher and a Eucharistic Minister. Gerri devoted her life to God and carried her faith with her throughout all her endeavors.

She earned her Bachelor's degree from Bridgewater State College and worked as a Teacher's Aide for the Marshfield Public School System for twenty years. Above all things, Gerri enjoyed praying the rosary, traveling, and spending time with family and friends, especially her beautiful granddaughters.

Visiting hours will be held at MacDonald Funeral Home in Marshfield on Wednesday, February 12 ^th from 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Gerri's life will be held on Thursday, February 13 ^th at 10am at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish.
