Gregory Fossella, devoted father and design pioneer, passed away peacefully on November 26th at the age of 90. Greg is survived by his children Craig Fossella of New Jersey, Dean Fossella of Marshfield, and Nicole Fossella of California; a sister, Angela Rauch and a brother, Joseph Fossella, both of Florida.
Greg was born on August 26, 1933 in Brockton, MA. He attended Brockton High School where he was a starter on the football team. After a stint in the Army as a radio operator, Greg earned a degree from Rhode Island School of Design, an institution to which he later returned as a member of the board of trustees. Immediately upon graduation Greg started a design firm, starting out by selling his services during the day and creating designs at night. His company grew quickly and he eventually became one of the world's most influential designers, with hundreds of patents to his name, a client list including over 100 Fortune 500 companies, and countless consumer products that were ubiquitous in US homes throughout the 1970's and 1980's.
Greg derived a great deal of joy from his work; after selling his company he maintained full time work schedule on various other design projects even as he reached 90 years old. Greg cherished getting together with family and enjoyed power boating and flying his helicopter.
