Helen K. Wuotila, wife of the late Selo Wuotila and mother of Ronald Wuotila, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 9, 2017 at the age of 97. Helen was a resident of Rockland until her move to the Royal Nursing facility in Norwell, where she received excellent attention and care. She enjoyed regular visits from her family and attentive services from the caring staff.

A devoted wife, mother and homemaker, Helen was committed to the well-being of her family and always placed their needs before herself. She had a unique ability to see the good in others and for over 40 years, managed her rental property with a good sense for business.

One of Helen's hobbies was sewing. She was a self-taught seamstress and developed a talent for looking at magazine photos of gowns and dresses and was able to design and sew her own clothing. She received many compliments on the quality of her own designs as she attended events throughout her life.

Helen enjoyed the company of her four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as they visited her often. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends who remained close to her throughout her life.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, 403 Union Street, Rockland, MA 02370. Burial will be in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in Abington.
