McDonald, Henry F., of Marshfield, passed away on October 27, 2016 at the age of 69. Henry is the beloved husband of Jean M. McDonald and brother in-law of Marilyn and David Roderick of Newport and Jim and Donna Groff of Portsmouth. Henry leaves his nieces and nephews Michael Roderick, Charles Roderick, Kerry Roderick, Sarah Groff, and Goddaughter Kelly Groff.

Henry worked as a Director of Claims for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Boston. In his retirement, Henry used his health insurance background in his work as a volunteer Counselor for the SHINE Health Insurance Program for the State of Massachusetts. His insight and guidance were invaluable to many retirees and seniors trying to navigate their way through the costs and complexities of the Medicare system.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield.
