Irene Mary (Pizzano) Culbert of Naples, FL, formerly of Marshfield, MA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 4, 2026. Born on December 7, 1936, in West Roxbury, MA, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Gulia (Perna) Pizzano and sister of the late Lawrence Pizzano.
Irene married Charles Culbert in 1957 and together they built a loving home and raised two children. A devoted housewife and mother, she found her greatest joy and deepest pride in her family. Irene loved cooking and hosting holidays for the family. She was best known for her homemade sauce and meatballs, lasagna, Italian cookies and pizzelles. She also enjoyed reading, sitting outside and enjoying the sunshine.
Irene is survived, and already greatly missed, by her son Lawrence Culbert and his wife, Elizabeth of Naples, FL; her daughter Jean (Culbert) Kelley of Barre, VT; and her grandchildren Kimberly (Culbert) Stuk, her husband Patrick and their daughter Isla of Naples, FL; Nicholas Culbert, his wife Megan and their daughter Charlotte of Lawton, OK; Zachary Culbert, his wife Sarah and their daughter Calliope of Kingston, MA; John Tangeman, his daughter Taylor and his wife Nicole of Kingston, MA; and Christopher Tangeman of Alabama.
